CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The West Virginia Department of Environmental
Protection is accepting public comment on a draft list of the state's
polluted streams and lakes.
The updated list includes bodies of water that fail to meet state water
quality standards. Failure to meet those standards makes them
unsuitable for use as a public drinking water supply, aquatic life
propagation or contact recreation.
By law, the list is updated every two years.
Public comments will be accepted through April 19.
