Mon Scheduled to Receive $6.2 Million

According to a memo from the Waterways Council, Inc. the President, House, and Senate have agreed that the "Lower Mon Project," modernization of Mononhahela River Locks and Dans 2, 3 and 4 will receive $6,210,000 in the Fiscal Year 2010 Omnibus Appropriations bill.

UMRA observes that while that is a step foreward, it's not a great move in comparison with the Fiscal Year 2009 Omnibus Appropriations amount of $15,900,000 and the $84,000,000 in the 2009 Stimulus Act (ARRA).
