MORGANTOWN -- The former Boathouse Bistro will soon reopen as a casual restaurant.

Dan Watts, the general manager of the Waterfront Place Hotel, says "The Wharf" will feature a special fish sandwich with wharf puppies, barbecue ribs cooked on site, and cold beer, just to name a few items.

He says items will range from about $4-$12.

The restaurant is just down from the hotel on the Monongahela River.

Crews are currently doing some remodeling on the inside of the business.

It's been vacant since the Bistro closed.

"The Morgantown faithful should find it very inviting especially those who walk up and down the trail, bike up and down the trail, and during football and basketball season," said Watts.

He says it plans to open by the July 4th holiday weekend.
