The River Navigation Coalition is primarily
made up of boaters using the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio
Rivers within the juristiction of the Pittsburgh District of the
US Army Corps of Engineers. Our membership of over 1500 is made
up of recreational and commercial boaters, businesses. and
marinas.

Our goals are:
- Keep the Locks and Dams operational and
secure on the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers by finding
the necessary funding.
- Maximize the hours of operation of the
locks for all users.
- Promote river recreational boating and
lobby for it's equal recognition in governmental
spending.
- Promote Commercial Navigation by keeping
the navigable channels open and secure
- Promote economic growth pertaining to
Recreational and Commercial Navigation for the entire
region.
